This is the long rostrum of the Azalea lace bug. It may be a bit tough to get your "bearings" on these shots, but if you take a look at the shots I posted earlier of this bug...

... you can just catch a glimpse of how it is tucked closely against the ventral side of the body.

It's hard to tell just from the photos in this topic how everything fits together, and in the other topic it's hard to appreciate just how sharp the stylet is. But the two topics together make everything crystal clear.
