Yes, this is how the wings look in their mature state, reduced and no longer useable for flying but (still) for chirping, in Ephippiger both sexes can produce sound.

FYI I could see the halo quite clearly round the front of the face (I notice it's been cleaned up now!) - but I did 'calibrate' my lcd screen (a Dell 2408) by eye to display the maximum contrast range possible...

I agree on the lighting and the textures. Very 3D looking and a very beautiful specimen. I love the colors.
