Narcissus mosaic

This is a 6 row X 6 column, 145 megapixel, mosaic of a small narcissus. The center section is 10mm in diameter. Print size at 300dpi will be 35"x46" or about 70X lifesize.



Zerene Stacker was used to focus stack three frames in the center section. Each frame contained of 60 images. The rest of the images were shot at a single focus point by rotating the pano head around the entrance pupil.

Compositing was partially done with Microsoft ICE and the rest done manually in Photoshop. The out of focus areas do not contain enough information for ICE generate the full mosaic. Photoshop was unable to stitch anything.
