Graham your images are getting better everytime you post. This is a great shot of the stentor. Your DIC set up is working extremely well, I noticed the adoral zone of the stenor is very well captured along with all the other cell inclusions and vacuoles. Looks as though you are up and running with the "big guys."

DIC is Differential Interference Contrast, a fancy system of illumination that increases contrast in the image by interference techniques. It produces a false 3D effect in the final image.
