Light collector for fibre optic pipes

Didn't someone here find some light collectors (bulb holder and condensing lens ?) for fibre optics or lcd projectors or similar ? Ican't find the original thread but then I haven't drunk much coffee tody :(

Andrew,

There were a couple of discusions with regard to Micro application and a few discussed with macro setups.

I did use such an arangement; but I've now settled on a 3 x Speedlight approach instead for studio setup.

Nope, those aren't what I was thinking of. It was some sort of subassembly for holding a bulb, lens and fibre bundle. I think.
