Up close with a Pine Cone

Post by Cyclops »

Fruiting body of good old Pinus sylvestris, at lifesize.
I used the pop up flash to get these, using a cardboard tube held over the pop up flash, the light directed onto the subject.

Don't know, I didn't see any tomato sauce stains anywhere on the forum index. I'll have to look.

I like the first one too..

Didn't know what to expect, but the perspective of all of them is great.

..

On an unrelated note, I bought a copy of Amateur Photographer the other week at Tesco .. (not local one) and went to have a peek at their forum... and lo and behold I recognised someone's breakfast...!!!! :D or should that be remains of breakfast.... posted on this forum too. :D

I wondered why it was half the price of a normal photo mag... and then discovered it was weekly. Unforuntately not available locally for me. :(

Yea thats me on that forum too, under numanoid. My first forum too, joined back in 2002!
I dont visit too often tho, I find their image posting restrictions too rigid!
The mag isnt bad but i dont get it anymore, I prefer Outdoor Photography. If you can find that one get it, it is sooo good!
