Ken mentioned lichens in another thread so I thought I'd post this stack I did last week, it's one of a series of this lichen at different magnifications. This particular shot is at around 13:1 (shot with Nikon CF plan 10x objective at a bit more than designated extension).
For context this is the same lichen shot with a reversed OM50/1.8 on minimum bellows extension (I'd estimate magnification at very roughly 1:1).
The cup in the first shot is fractionally below the center of the frame in the second shot... _________________ Flickr | www.laurieknight.net |

Both this and the moss are really nice Laurie.
You know, I think around here we sometimes forget how remarkable it is to have images with such fine texture and detail along with the DOF at 10X and more. It the "single shot" film days these images would be nearly impossible to get. _________________ http://www.krebsmicro.com |
