Cobweb: a stack using CS4

Post by elf »

Magnification is about 4x, 205mm extension with 50mm lens on 4/3rds sensor. 36 images stacked at .05mm increments. The individual seeds are about 2mm in diameter. f8 @4seconds

Image

Stacking is automatic in CS4, no options to select or modify. It appears to do fairly well but I haven't tried it on anything hard yet.

elf,
Interesting image.

Are you using a beta of Photoshop CS4? It's good to see the 'big guns' thinking about focus blending. Should make for some interesting research. The focus blend is automatic; but there are layer masks in there and these can be manually adjusted. Would still like to see some parameters; but very interesting none-the-less.

This is the shipping CS4. It's been out for a week now, at least for the pre-ordered upgrades.

Thanks elf,

Yep, my CS4 upgrade will be on its way soon. I will download the trial when available to use in the meantime.
