Hairy fly stack

Post by lauriek »

This one was a bugger to patch up, I've done the main bits and there are some smaller issues which hopefully don't show up at web size! (So many overlapping hairs!)

Image

This is a stack aligned in CZP, stacked in full and then in multiple parts in Tufuse, those parts carefully re-combined back into the main stack to correct all the big hair overlaps!

I think the lighting could have been better on this one..

It's refreshing to see a three-quarters view.

Thanks Harold - yes I quite liked this angle!

Here's a better lit version, although without the cloning work (I don't think it shows up too much at this resolution!)

The second one shows the mouthparts slightly better but I mainly prefer the first one.

The extra work payed off with an excellent looking fly photo Laurie. Incredible detail in the hairs of the eyes
