Does it have a flat abdomen? I saw a couple in my backyard hovering over some plants but they didn't stop long enough for me to take a shot.

Very nice!! I really like how you composed the shot with green on the fringes of the photo and pink/purple all around the subject.

Yes, the abdomen on these is thin and flat. The pattern is characteristic.

The picture is a slight crop.
