these are hoverfly of these days, with combinations of different light flash, the second photo has been difficult for position left flash,
i hope i will not bore :D

350d sigma 105mm f/11 & two difusser flash

Antonio,

Your photos never bore us, and I like to hear how they were shot.

I see what you mean about difficulty of flash positioning in the second photo. At least I presume that's what is causing the bright glare from the background leaf and the dark lower left of the eye. But the picture still works well, and the bright leaf makes an interesting background that silhouettes the fly's left wing. In fact for me it is the second picture that stands out as being striking of these three.

Rik was shot with two flash,
Manfrotto bracket support 330b and arm 196AB-2 for left flash, difficulties for the second photo has been approach, because very intrusive arm,the first photos with bracket and two flash (parallel at lens), the third photo failed because flower covered flash( white flower help diffuse light :D ), three photos total good angles for depth of field.

Thanks Harold :D different colors from green leaf break monotony,2# photo light made more interesting green leaves environment :wink:
