Nikon MC-EU1 problem

Post by g4lab »

I just received a Nikon MC-EU1 remote control pendant that I bought on fleabay. I bought it to use with my Coolpix 4500. The Nikon website states that the two pieces are compatible.

But I cannot get any activity on the MC-EU1 lcd screen and when I plug it into the camera the cameras display goes black. I had a brand new battery in it and followed the directions for the MC-EU1 to the letter.

The seller , who has 100% plus feedback, has promised a refund, but before I send it back, I just wanted to see if anyone on the list ever used this remote, or had a problem with it (seems to be a few), or has any advice.
I would hate to return it and discover I had been doing something wrong.

Any input or advice would be much appreciated.

They still sell those for about $45 post paid from Hong Kong.
I probably should have gotten one of those.
I think I will get a USB cable and use "The Force" or some similar software. Suggestions welcome.

Hi !

Yes remember its was some problems with
remote control program for the Coolpix 4500

But if you can use a Live capturing program
with USB Connection to it it will be best

Think there are som on the net

Thank you Par.
Both of those sites link to other sites that are also of coolpix interest.
