What a lovely pair! :o Looks a tad bit over sharpened though and some of the details, well...seem a little smudged but we can live with it. It is all subjective by the way. :wink:

Maybe a trace of shake - our cat kept on pushing up against me whilst I was trying to take photos - wouldn't leave me alone. Only minimal sharpening was used on resize, but it is a crop, and was taken as JPG, not RAW (in other words just a snap!)

Well, you didn´t ask, but nonetheless you might be interested in putting a name to the couple: Genus is definitely Osmia, species should be Osmia rufa.
Interesting to see the British colour variant, the ones I find flying around in our garden are slightly different. O. rufa are permanent, numerous guests and regularly breeding in my "hotel Hymenoptera".
