Does anyone have any experience of Seben microscopes ? I'm looking for a cheap stereo scope for sample preparation and they might be a reasonable buy.

I looked at the photo of the microsope you referenced and although I have never seen one with Seben written on it I have seen many with a variety of other names on them. This is a student microscope made in China which is suitable for junior and senior high school (students 12 to 18 years old). Since you did not mention what specimens you want to prepare or what definition of "cheap" you are interested in there may be more to be said. The microscope is probably very serviceable if you do not need a lot of resolution or focusable illumination and take reasonable care of it. The price is competitive at $129.00.
