Looks very much like one but the wings have me puzzled, a bit to rounded at the trailing edges or tips. Size approx. 10mm

Yep that's the critter. I had not thought of Bugguide but Bettys suggestion paid off. I have a small creek that runs in behind the house, about a 100yds away maybe, so that is where the Caddisfly assumption came from. Actually I have never investigated the creek that much for the presence of aquatics, maybe I should one day.
