In the brackish and highly polluted water of the Río de la Plata, water that multinationals, greedy businessmen and accomplices governments have been poisoning little by little almost without turning back,
we found these small Tintinnids: ciliates living in beautiful houses, houses similar to the shell of testate amoebas.
The Tintinnids are not very studied, we assume by the shape of their "house" that has a "peduncle" and because of its size, it belongs to the genus Tintinnopsis.
Probably Tintinnopsis fimbriata.
By removing them from the water and putting them in a jar, they have only survived a few hours.
I thank Jesús J Hoyos-Acuña and Bruce Taylor for the information they have given me about these organisms.
