Would like to add some new pictures to this forum of the following suspects:

Formica rufa -red wood ant
Lasius niger - black garden ant
Chironomus plumosus - midge
Woodlouse

All taken with an EF4/0.12 Leitz objective/ Leitz Orthoplan.

Tip of the day: If you want to put insects to "sleep" use nail polish remover without aceton.
