Microscope: Zeiss Standard 16
Objective: Zeiss 40/0.65 plan achromat
Ocular: Zarf Canon G9 Adapter
Brightfield
Flash
Sample from Birdbath, Havant Nov 2007
Camera: Canon Powershot G9

Upper image is original after colour balancing and contrast adjustment. Lower image is the same image after applying a Paintshop Pro topo artistic effect filter that simulates illumination with oblique coloured light, in this case pale blue. You can also adjust the grain size and smoothness. It tends to give an enhanced embossed effect if you use a small grain size. As you increase coarseness you get contouring.

Though we lean upon the same balustrade, the colours of the mountain are different.
