Round led light

Post by Maxim46 »

Hi to everyone!

Recently I have ordered stuff to start microphotography. And the hardest part to me was to choose the continuous illumination. I did not want to order IKEA lighters and was looking for ring light. But all I had found was with big inner diameter (50mm min). Finally had trapped to the following page:
https://www.seiwaeurope.com/product/ill ... ring-light
After contacting sales managers for additional information, I got the following catalogue with dimensions and brief additional information:
http://kkimac.web-books.jp/2018en/_SWF_Window.html

Today have found 2 more companies with the same/similar products:
http://moritex.com/products/mv/Illumination/index.html - Japanese
http://www.contrastech.com/list/?52_2.html – Chinese

All of them have ring lights with inner diameter 35-36 mm and with diodes/diffusers rounded or placed at an angel, that will light the model’s surface in front of the objective.

Currently I am contacting these companies regarding power supply of these lights and price.

Leaving this information here just for case if it can be useful to someone)

I've had good luck with the Angel Eyes COB ringlights. The smallest I've seen is 40mm OD, 31mm ID. I use them for my stitching work and general coin photography as they are easy to integrate into various mechanics. Plus, they are pretty cheap. Unfortunately, their "white" is very cool / high color temp. It's not difficult to correct with WB, but they won't win any CRI awards.
