Madagascar sunset moth

Post by mtuell »

Steve was nice enough to give one of his sunset moths to me - here is a stack (Zerene DMap) of 63 frames at ISO 400, 1/200th of a second full-frame Nikon D810 with a Zeiss Triotar 135 mm prime as a tube lens and a reversed Pentax 67 200 mm f/4 (wide open = NA 0.125) as the objective, for an on-sensor magnification of 0.675x. There are 127 microns between frames, so almost 8 mm of depth. Vertical rig on a granite plate.

What a stunning specimen!
