A pic of the bulb holder, Watts and voltage may help?

I should have asked, how to get out the bulb holder without knocking any thing out of alignment.
so far counted eleven screws and rather than go down elimination route and give myself more work undoing mistakes, just asking for advice.

thank you.

Please post pictures of the underside. Very likely the bulb holder is held in place by means of a lateral single bolt easily accessible, at least it its in three different Zeiss lamp houses I have.
After unscrewed the whole lower part will free, maybe with a bit of force if it got stuck after long time.
Performing a good alignment is always convenient after bulb replacement.

Thanks Pau, missed that screw.
now to find the driver that fits,
must have 30 to 40 different drivers, and never find the one that fits.

could not find any info on this lamp house and looked all over web.

any model no, I guess its 12v 35 watt, but thats a guess.

Your lamp house model number is 48 25 29 but google doesn't provide results for it. The same housing was also sold with HBO lamp
If you've removed the locking screw, the lamp holding part must be just stuck and you need some brute force to free it.
I would apply it with a flat screwdriver between the lower part and the main body, carefully at different positions around it.

Could you provide images of the lower part of the housing? Is it like the one at? https://www.ebay.com/itm/ZEISS-MICROSCO ... SwMWpbp7iw

Thanks for info on model no.

Have sent off a email to Zeiss customer service for help, meanwhile got the bottom soaking in a releasing agent.

Thank goodness I have a few other lighting systems and bulbs to hand.
The only problem is space for all the various power supplies that go with them.

Hi,

This is the early version of Illuminator 100 (Leuchte 100). The Zeiss number is "46 72 59".

I couldn't find any documentation for it either. There is more information on the later version, 46 72 59-9901, like here https://www.mikroskopie-forum.de/index. ... ic=13150.0

I suspect that somehow you can take off the bottom of the lamphouse which probably holds the lampfittings ... what about the large screw near the base in the images Pau linked to? https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/syAAAOSw ... -l1600.jpg

This lamphouse can contain either a 100W halogen bulb OR a 50 mercury high pressure bulb. If it contains a mercury high pressure bulb, take great care, seal the old bulb in a plastic bag and dispose of it through the council, as it can't do to landfill.

Regards,

Ichty

Thanks to all for the help on both ID, and ideas.

Seems only Zeiss could fit a lock screw inside another allen nut and so small
could only pick it up with a strong light down hole. looks like it rest against a circular flat ring around hole.

There was also a location ball bearing so small that was seized into hole.

Of course easing oil helped no end. There was a halogen 35w 12volt bulb inside.
Once again Zeiss over engineered.

Once again Thank you.
