I am attaching a few Gastrotrich photos - they have porcupine-like scales and are constantly in motion. I use a coverslip compression by extracting the water with a piece of filter paper to compress and hold them still then photographed them using DIC, Phase and Darkfield microscopy. These are one of my favorites.
Hard to photograph they don't hold still.
