Adapter for Leica 120mm stages on Wild 80mm?

Post by Rorschach »

I think an adapter like this exists for the Leica/Wild stereo scopes but I do not know it's part number. Does anyone have it?

It would enable me to use e.g. the Leica 120mm gliding stage accessory on my Wild stands/stages that have an opening of 80mm.

I don't recall it from any of the parts diagrams, but it might be worth contacting them directly about if you haven't yet. Sometimes they can be helpful on these things.
Edit: I also had a look through their old price sheet from their contract with NY in 2012. The closest I found was the 'universal stage carrier', 10446304, this thing right here https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 3991722061
Or the intermediate plate, 10447276 https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 4045583389
But of course they phase stuff out fairly frequently, not surprising they'd no lo ger be selling a Wild adapter in 2012.

Thanks for the links. Those might work if there's some reasonable way to attach them to the stand. Might be hard at least in the case of the Wild BF/DF stand which is my favourite.

I contacted the Finnish Leica representative and they are looking into it.
