infinite Objective recommendation?

Post by Joe Snow »

Hi

I saw this thread earlier ( http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... hp?t=34277 )
and I'm really interested in buying and trying it.

But the only issue is I don't want to buy a macro rail (at least for now).
and because my camera (Olympus E-m5 ii) has the option to do focus bracketing with native lenses I'm looking for an objective to be attached to my zoom lens.

I learnt from this forum that what I should be looking for is infinite objective to do so.

So, My question is there an infinite version from the objective mentioned in the thread above?

If there isn't, I need your help recommending me an objective that has the following:
1- The same IQ as the one in the thread above (in terms of sharpness, Contrast, and CA)
2- price not higher than $50-$60
3- 4x or higher

I appreciate your help.

Correct the $17 4x objective does not need a tube lens so the in-camera focus bracketing using AF would not work.

I have not tried the $17 4x with a tube lens but it would work, no idea about the IQ though.

This might be interesting:

Found the forum post, that wasn't easy:

Hi Joe,
I would recommend the NIKON BE Plan 4x / 0.1. I have used it with the CANON EF 70-200L and CANON EF 100L as a tube lens (and stacked by the Camera Connect similar to bracketing of your Oly).
Ask for it in the local subsidiary of NIKON (ca. $50 for new one).
