This is a real puzzle. Surprised It looks both natural and un-natural at the same time. The precise hexagonal patterns look arranged, like jewellery on a micro scale. Yet the actual 'jewels' look like structures I've seen on insects, beetle elytra for example. Is this image details from natural sources like insect elytra that have been arranged into a pattern by software, some kind of kaleidoscope program for example?
