Hey, Kenster - I'm just in it for the beauty.
However, I believe many of our electronical engineer types who wotk on these chips are interested in the approaches different engineers and companies take in their design of these ICs.. At the micro level, a transisitor,
resistor or capacitor may not be evident to us, but those who design these circuits may be entertained by what I have uncovered with my Nitric Acid.
Back in the 70s I worked for an aerial photography company, and integrated circuits are visually, not that far off from vertical aerial photography.
