Saul,
Another great image. I can't seem to get those kind of results from Dmap like you do, even tried your settings. Thankfully Pmap works so I'm, OK.
Best & Happy New Year,
Mike

Thanks Mike !
Looks like that DMap result success depends on the numerous factors, like RAW conversion settings, detail & color contrast, detail size etc. Not every time I was able to use DMap. We had lots of discussions about DMap settings, maybe Rik will step in, he posted great information on the forum, cannot find these posts now.

A beautiful image. These are the ones that make me want to try stacking.
S. americana has spotted wings. This looks more like Melanoplus keeleri, or something very close to it: https://bugguide.net/node/view/41865/bgimage

Thank you all for your kind comments and information !
Yes, it is studio stack, made with Deltron horizontal setup + WeMacro controller, sample is from the freezer, background - piece of some magazine picture, base - piece of the bark, diffuser - Dean's milk jug, light - 1x IKEA Jansjo.

Thanks ! I used some pieces of shading on the diffuser also - bath tissue, black paper - to get necessary result. And some aluminum foil in the front/below.Pitufo wrote:... It looks very natural.. the magazine background works well. I like the (relatively) low tech approach to lighting - it looks like sunlight.
