Uroleptus with a very troublesome meal!

Post by Charles Krebs »

I was watching this Uroleptus when all of a sudden it "swallowed" a long stiff particle about 3/4 its body length. It was sort of comical watching this invertebrate try to maneuver around with its new "spine".

Why the heck would he eat something like that. It reminds me of the cartoons where the person eats a bone and it is sideways in his throat. Spectacular photos Charles...very very interesting.

Betch'cha it won't do that again. I would imagine it to be akin to someone swallowing a fish bone. Spectacular images Charlie. :D

Charlie - Congrats on a great image - it looks good on the front page. I never knew Uroleptus was so accomplished at sword swallowing!
