First picture with "new" camera - peacock feather

Post by mtuell »

Well, I finally got a D810!

I put a Zeiss Triotar f/4 135 mm prime lens (M42) on it with a 40.5 -> 52 mm step up ring then a 52 mm -> 77 mm reversal ring onto a Pentax 67 55 f/4 55 mm prime lens, with both lenses at infinity and wide open.

I put this combo on my vertical stage on a granite stand, with off-camera flash at ISO 125 1/200th second. This is the first stack, .jpg fine only. I also got a raw stack, but haven't looked at it yet. I have a lot to lean about the D810!

These are auto-levels, and a little unsharp masking in Photoshop, Zerene DMap 39 frames on full-frame 36 MP sensor. The magnification is 135/55 = 2.45:1 on-sensor, with 5 micron pixels. The airy disk diameter should be 4-5 microns, so this seems a good fit.
