Mounting Camera to Stackshot

Post by Jwcollect »

Hi,

What is the best way to mount your DSLR camera to a Stackshot?

Thanks

Perhaps you're referring silently to the overpriced Arca-compatible clamp they sell. It does work, and makes it easier to mount and dismount the camera.
It would be preferable to have some arrangement which sat lower to the rail, but I don't know of anything.

Obviously - I mean as with any tripod mount, the point at which you support your camera/lens/tubes whatever, is important too, to keep things aligned and not prone to wobble.

Yeah, they kind of force you to buy a new stackshot plate, a clamp and an arca plate. It seems like the only way to get a solid connection. I have a Really Right Stuff BH-55 and the bottom of the Stackshot won't fit into it so you need another plate for that.

Thanks
