Euglena spirogyra

Every 30 days the site administrators will pick an image made through a microscope from the "Photography Through the Microscope Gallery" to be featured on the front page of the www.amateurmicrography.net website.

Euglena spirogyra

It looks like we are going to have a mild winter here, so pond dipping may be available for some time.
I did a pond dip at the Rodale Publishing campus in Emmaus, Pennsylvania and the sample was loaded with Euglena spirogyra - I mean hundreds in each water drop.
Here is a group of three.
