Desmodesmus communis (Scenedesmus communis)

Desmodesmus communis is an green algae that like walking in groups
It has thorns that help to float and to frighten their enemies
But if they gather together many they sink.
Each cell in the video measuring about 10 um long by 5um wide
The genre Scenedesmus has been divided in two.
Basically if they have no spines are still calling Scenedesmus
If they have spines they spend calling Desmodesmus
More and more and more difficult names to appoint life
