Schneider Kreuznach 45mm f/4 APO HM

Post by Yawns »

I never had before the chance to use a decent objective .. (never used an APO)
recently I found this Schneider Kreuznach 45mm f/4 APO HM
on eBay for a price well belllow of the normal asked price (and it's in pristine condition) .. I payed like 180 USD .
I'm amazed, ... compared to what I was achieving before with "average" lenses...
now I can see and understand the damage the CA do to the fine details ...
funny enough I did not get any "drag" streaks in both pictures .. I don't know if it was luck or because of this lens...

Thank you ... The lighting is very simple .. it's the two led lamps you can see in the picture (did not use any of the flashes)
and a crop of a yogurt bottle (250ml) revested inside with tracing paper (2 layers) to avoid specular reflections in the shiny plastic.
It's simple , .. but after a lot of ecperimenting

I also "hooded" the lens with falsk top of the Dog's shampoo :)
Waiting for a floking kit to flock it right ...

Thank you ...

lately I did a "complete" template for the pictures "Exif" .. I use it later for reference .. because I am getting "old" (going to 55 yo) and starting to have difficulty to remeber details about how I did that and the other :) :)

Those are excellent images.

How do you like the Amazon Basics flash? I have three of them.
