Labophot - Optiphot dovetail

Does anyone know for a 'fact' if the focus block dovetails are identical on the Labophot and Optiphot?

Do you mean the dovetail that holds specimen (XY mechanical) stage?

I put my Labophot 2 stage on my Optiphot 1 dovetail stage. It fits perfectly.

Hi,

I cannot speak about the Labophot 2, but I have been trying to integrate an Optiphot turret and frame with a Labophot base. See pics below.

It seems that there is not even a dovetail on the Labophot (1) and the condenser and stage support are integrated into the focus block.

I am going to try and transplant an entire Labophot focus block and base with the Optiphot turret support to be able to do epi and transmitted light on one machine.

My Labophot 2 has no focus block dovetail either. Optiphot (1) has it.
