This little guy was unexpected, and very lively, so a quick hand held shot with the wrong lens..............!! (D810, Sigma 70-300 Apo-DG )
The colours were amazing, and I'd really like to know what it was.

Further research shows it to be a common cuckoo wasp, Chrysis Ignata.
Definitely a new one on me.

I always have my trusty D810 with Tamron 90mm Macro on hand when breakfasting in the garden !!
