A Forest of Diatoms

Post by WalterD »

Already posted images of this diatom (Rhoicosphenia Abbreviata+ 1 other) 3 months ago, i.m.o. this is a good opportunity to post some new (and hopfully better) images.
The diatom is actually growing on the mats forming the bottom of this small "lake". I cut out a stamp sized piece with scissors to make a selection under a low power microscope.
