Loosing 10 hours for an image.

Post by soldevilla »

A lot of work to get this image ... With so many different planes I have not been able to get a stack with any method that does not show wide defocused areas or repeated edges.

I thought those problems are because the depth of focus of my 20x is less than the distance between two sheets of this mineral, and the soft stacking loses references.

So with fine black cardboard I have built a diaphragm for my lens with a hole of about 3mm. In this way I increase the depth of field, although the diffraction worsens the quality of the image. Well, everything can not be achieved ...

At last I have managed to save the image, and for a small size I can show it.
