Well, it has been a year today since I got my first "real" 'scope!
I think this is perhaps the first picture I took, of onion mitosis. This is before I realized the utility of NCB filters and many other things. Honestly, I don't even remember what objective I was using for this...
And here is the most recent shot taken, which is a (traditional, not focus) stack of 6 taken with a Nikon 60x/1.4. In this case, rather than brightfield, it is using a 1.25 condenser in darkfield, so is circular oblique, but nowhere near the edge of the 1.4 aperture. I cleaned up the background a bit and put in the scale circles, but didn't do sharpening or other work in Photoshop.
I'm sure it can still be better, but I have learned a lot in the last year, in no small part with help from the fine folks here at Photomacrography.net! Thanks to all!
