Excuse me my ignorance, but please clarify: is it true i can connect M3 via USB and shoot in Windows using Remote shooting and DPP4?

Why use Magic Lantern and CHDK?

Hi MacroLab3D,
You can NOT connect EOS M3 via USB and control it remotely :-(

Via USB you ONLY can download the pictures.
Magic Lantern and CHDK allow many features which are not implemented in the standard firmware.
