This one makes interesting comparison with the image I posted at http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... php?t=3125 - it looks a little more "baroque"! I could not detect any gel tube.

Nice!

It could be that it has a tube. You can see some detritus on the places where the tube should be. Could be invisible in bright field.

Although I think I have also seen them without a tube.
