Ever have a subject get lost in itself? :smt102 The inset in the lower right hand corner, second image, shows the head of the female should you not be able to recognize it in the photograph. :) Ambush bugs seem to be prolific this time of the year here in the foothills of Western North Carolina, with them showing up mainly on the blooms or flowers of the Goldenrod and small to large Asters.

Nice find Ken. I heared from that sort of assasin bug but in Germany they are rare.

Thanks Markus :D Ambush bugs are quite hard to find or see, unless you are used to looking for them.
