eos utility no loupe view for 1D mkIV

Hi all and a awesome 2016 to all of you.
Today I tried to do another macro stack with my sigma 150 + 3 distance rings.
Previous attempts where done with a canon 60 d but having the 1d for over a year now i thought its about time to do some with that body.
Very much to my surprise I had to realize that eos utility does not allow loupe view with that body.
So either there is a setting on eos utility that has to be changed or its on the body itself. I do have live-view on the laptop, just can't get into the magnifier and with that into the remote focus adjustment.
I'm using the mini USB port on the camera
Any ideas where the problem is??
