Hello from Düsseldorf, Germany

Post by ralfwagner »

Hello,

now, after beeing a member of this forum for nearly ten years I think it is time to post a bit of my microscopic history and interests :D .

I was born in 1956 in Düsseldorf and I am still living there. When I was about 10 years old my elder brother donated me a toy microscope. I was fascinated and played with that instrument several years of my youth.
When I was about 45 years old I remembered that passion of my youth and started again with this fantastic hobby. My equipment now is much better than that toy microscope of my youth and of course it is much more fun to work with this equipment. A description of my current equipment can be found here:

My main microscopic interests are: lichens, mosses and pond life.

Thank you, grgh.

My homepage is not state of the current art, but it works.

Concerning lichens you might want to know that I am a member of the BLS, the British Lichen Society. A great community.
