Nice. I like the red background.

Excellent handling of light, well modeled; did you obscure some parts of the ringlight, or was there some ambient as well? For that matter, what is a "domed ringlight"? Very nice result, in any event.

Domed ringlight

Post by Olympusman »

My stacking setup is shown in my article at http://www.microscopy-uk.org.uk/mag/art ... stack.html

It is a Sunpack ringlight with a diffuser dome mounted on the front, which provides wrap-around light. In many instances, the specimen is actually inside the dome. The warm highlight on the top of the specimen is from an halogen lamp used for setting up the series. In some cases, I turn it off, but in this instance it added something extra.
As for the background, I have a stack of colored papers that I have accumulated for my macro work. I select the specific paper for either aestehtic purposes or impact.

Thanks for your kind remarks.
