Hi everybody,
A COL picture of Chilodonella or Trithigostoma(not sure,these genus are very close).I use lugol(small amount) to fix it.

Hi folks,
to complete this topic,a picture of a dorsal view:we can see a single row of bristles,typical of trithigmostoma.
notice the proeminent macronucleus.

Really excellent pictures, Olivier!

I presume that "lugol" refers to Lugol's Iodine, a solution of iodine and potassium iodide in water. I have never used this. In the amount that you used, did it kill the protozoa as well as staining it?

thanks for your comments :)
yes it's lugol's iodine,and protozoa are killed,but remain intact during a few minutes.
