Both these photos were taken with Nikon 7000 + Bellows + 4x Objective with continuous light set-up and stack of 50. Color cast may be evident but seems to be actual color of the moth. Eyes required post-processing.
I think photos of a tongue of a moth hanging out are not often posted.

I'm not sure what you mean by "hanging out". To me this looks like the proboscis is in its normal curled state, same as shown at http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... hp?t=11464. Is there some aspect of the proboscis that is not showing in these pictures?
Also, there seems to be focus banding in both images. It is most obvious in the eye of the first image, and in both the proboscis and the eyes of the second image.
What step size were you using?
