I seem to remember a "threads we use" post but can't seem to find it....
I have an odd focus helicoid I found at the electronic swap almost 1 year ago. It has V38 dovetail one end, M38 other end, with both of them fixed position. The helicoid in the middle moves an M28 threaded collar up/down inside the barrel of the helicoid. What objectives/lenses/etc use M28?
Also in the group of stuff was an M24 extension, and an M24-RMS adapter. These have part numbers 46-29-89-9999 and 46-29-97 respectively. What microscope uses M24 objectives?
Always something weird to be found at the electronics swap. Hope it comes back July 11, but it looks like we may still be shut down...

So some Reichert objectives use M28. I guess this helicoid could be from a Reichert scope.
The M24 extension and RMS adapter is still a mystery...

I did a "m24 zeiss" search and found this thread:Scarodactyl wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 11:04 pmPer the past posts in the thread some zeiss objectives are m24x0.75

Seems some Zeiss EpiPlan objectives are M24, like this one:

Thanks Scarodactyl, mystery solved.
