These are incredibly hardy animals. After I had it on the slide under UV exposure for 1 hour, I put it back in the petri dish. It lived fine for at least another 5 days before I discarded the sample water.

Thank you! The first one was not easy to get... I think I had to take 10 stacks before I managed to get one where nothing moved. But the challenge was well worth it. They sure are pretty, though I still dislike isopods. They creep me out.
