It´s ascorbic acid dissolved in water. 60x mag.

Very nice.
I have found that my Ascorbic Acid from my local compunding pharmacy goes stale after a couple of years and needs to be replaced with a fresh supply.

Harald, that's beautiful! The polarization gives interesting effects! I imagine it must be thin

Cheap, and you keep them fresh longer.
