Hurrah!!! Dragonfly!

Post by MacroLuv »

At last! :D
Handheld, no cropping.
Don't be too much critic, I got distressed for this. Per aspera ad astra. 8)
Or in Croatian variant: Kroz čičke do pičke. I will not translate this, it's kind a rude speech.

Nikola, you captured nice images that well convey the atmosphere of a sunny day near the water.

It looks to me as if this dragonfly, what I think is a male Libellula depressa , has got some silky threads clinging to his wings. Chances are that he had contact with a spider´s web, but big and strong as he is, could free himself or even flew right through the web.

Best regards,
Betty

No translation needed, as they say "I got the picture" . A difficult situation to capture and I think you did a great job. The third one stands out for me, simply because it is a closer shot of the subject.

Lovely pictures, I like the first one most. Planapo is right about the species.

Thanks for kind comments folks! :D
Branch that supported me has broken and I almost fell down into the water. God is guarding drunken people and fools!
Betty thank you very much for ID. Big kiss. 8) O:) You are right about silky threads of spider's web. Not a big deal for him.
